Haciendo mis deberes de inglés ...

How TV has changed my life.

Some decades ago, our parents and grandparents had a childhood very different to everything we know today as normal life. They used to play in the streets with their firends using just pebbles, sticks and rude toys made by themselves. Of course they had no idea about what TV was ... Slightly they listened the news on the radio but never saw the faces of the people who where talking to them.

However, nowadays there are a lot of famous faces we see everyday thanks to television. Some of them fill in us on the news that happen all around the world. In my opinion TV has picked up our knowledge about several features, for instance, it shows us how is life in other cities (even countries) without standing up from our sofa. Also it allows us to see landscapes from the other side of the earth.

On the other hand, TV creates other kind of famous people ... I mean those persons that boast about their amazing bodys but empty brain. Even though everyone likes watching appealing people, I really think there are other interesting topics to pay attention to.

In my personal life, TV has helped me to take up watching basketball matches, otherwise I would not be able to do it.

In conclusion, television is a good amusement, whether for just channel surfing, watching dreadful reality shows or enjoying a good match of your favourite sport.

Me he recorrido todos los kioskos 1 km a la redonda durante los últimos 3 días. He preguntado hasta la saciedad a los correspondientes kioskeros / ayudantes de kioskero de los correspondientes kiosos a 1 km a la redonda, teniendo que repetir un mínimo de 3 veces lo que estoy buscando, corrigiendo errores como ‘la guía de los cedés’ y soportando excusas como ‘me la trajeron el mes pasado pero este aún no ha llegado’.
He buscado en google todas las posibles combinaciones de los elementos ‘guía’ (con y sin tilde, sé que da igual, google hace sus apaños), ‘oficial’, ‘ACB’, ‘09/10’, ‘liga’, ‘baloncesto’. Sólo he encontrado un artículo perruno escrito por cualquier cantamañanas en el que asegura que el artículo que deseo adquirir sale a la venta en TODOS los kioskos del país el sábado 10 de octubre de 2009.

Después de ver 3 capítulos seguidos de la quinta temporada de Lost estoy empezando a considerar que he viajado a 1977 y la iniciativa LNFP ha prohibido el baloncesto e incautado cualquier publicación asociada.

Ya sé que cuando una noticia llega tarde pierde gran parte de su valor; pero más vale tarde que nunca, y el que no se consuela es porque no quiere.
Mi intento de Nostradamus ha fracasado estrepitosamente y España (niño del anillo incluido) se proclamó campeona de Europa de baloncesto. Lo que comenzó como juego mediocre y lamentable, felizmente se transformó en el despliegue de recursos y actitud que todos deseábamos ver. Mi más sincera enhorabuena.
